The Second International Waterfall Jumping Competition in Jajce (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
Everything is ready for The Second International Waterfall Jumping Competition in Jajce (Bosnia and Herzegovina), which will be held on the 01st of August.
Almost 30 divers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Serbia and Montenegro signed up for the jumps on the waterfall in Jajce on the 1st of August, and fans of this sport from Kosovo announced their arrival as well.
Director of the Agency for Cultural, Historical and Natural Heritage and Development of Tourist Potential of Town of Jajce, Huso Hadžić said that this year they expect as twice as divers than last year, when 18 divers competed.
Waterfall in Jajce, around 21 meters high, formed at the confluence of the Pliva and Vrbas river, according to many, is estimated as one of the ten most beautiful waterfalls in the world. It is among the rare waterfalls located in the center of the town.
Hadžić reminded that jumps from the waterfall in Jajce are unique in the world, and were attended last year by over 5,000 visitors, while the world’s media reported on the event.
The president of jury of this year’s jumps from the Jajce waterfalls is the most popular Mostar diver, Emir Balić.
